Yay! It's the first day of our Kindness Project. Although we often think about kindness as it relates to other people, it's also important for us to be kind to ourselves. The suggested kind acts for Mondays will focus on additional acts of kindness to our own selves.
For today, spending some time mindfully creating a nourishing snack or meal is one way for us to be kind to ourselves. Eating it slowly and mindfully is another way to be kind to ourselves.
For many children, spending time mindfully eating is one of the best ways to introduce meditation. Using this activity as a stepping stone to additional mindfulness practices is an effective way to ensure that your family can practice emotional intelligence techniques.
